The Indian Elections

There is a possibility that people might loose faith in the system of governance, if the malicious practices don't come to an end. To help people keep trusting the system and feel secure, authorities should take care of all the loopholes that fuels the corrupt mindsets of people.

Problem Statement

During the process of meeting short term materialistic goals people tend to overlook the contribution of the backbone of humanity, the moral values, and practice corruption, dishonesty & frauds crumbling the nation like a wood eaten by termites. I wanted to dig deep in this problem and create a system that solves the deep rooted problem of corruption in India by taking care of all the existing loopholes in the current system. Considering these things in mind, I decided to hit the origin of the problem, where it all starts from — The Elections.

Task

The goal was to design a more secure, individual-centric voting interface that could reduce these disputes and rebuild public trust in election outcomes.

Action

The We-Poll concept replaces the existing EVM flow with a redesigned system that emphasizes security, voter individuality, and clear verification of each vote.

This approach aims to make post-election challenges less credible, so the same machines and results do not suddenly become “trustworthy” only when a different party wins, supporting fairer, more consistent confidence in the process.
